Tool Structure

Tool Utility Bar
Align
Click Align to display the Tilt tools.
- Coronal tilt
- Sagittal tilt
- Rotate
Use single + / − for 1° and double ++ / −− for 10° adjustments.
Reset
Reset Fabrication Alignment adjustments to the Design History or zero.
Tool Body
Translate (mm)
Translate the socket relative to the DEC puck in:
- Anterior–Posterior
- Lateral–Medial
- Inferior–Superior
Use single + / − for 1 mm and double ++ / −− for 10 mm adjustments.
Distal End Connector
Set the puck to match the connector being installed.
- DEC Model: select a Commercial Off The Shelf model.
- DEC Pocket Size: customize the size of the DEC
- DEC Height (mm): set connector height.
- DEC Diameter (mm): set connector diameter.
- Clearance (mm): set clearance when integrating the DEC.
- Connector opacity (%): adjust opacity to review distal limb position relative to the DEC.
How to Use
- Enter the Fabricate workflow and locate the DEC puck, which starts touching the most distal end of the socket.
- In Fabrication Alignment, click Align to open the Tilt tools.
- Adjust tilt as needed:
- Coronal tilt
- Sagittal tilt
- Rotation
- Single + / − changes by 1°; double ++ / −− changes by 10°.
- Verify alignment using the snap to views to move the socket.
- Use Translate to position the socket relative to the puck:
- Anterior–Posterior (AP) and Medial–Lateral (ML) move the socket with respect to the puck.
- Inferior–Superior (IS) moves the puck with respect to the socket.
- In the Distal End Connector section, set puck dimensions to match the connector:
- Select a Commercial Off The Shelf model from the drop-down, if available.
- If the connector is not listed, adjust Height and Diameter manually.
- Adjust Connector opacity to review distal limb position relative to the DEC, then refine alignment as needed.
- If integrating the DEC into the socket, Clearance adjustments can be used to allow easier lock insertion depending on fabrication method.
- No visuals will change. Clearance is applied when Integrate DEC is selected when Setting up for Fabrication Export Settings.
