Utility Bar

Add Slice

Add a slice on the model. The tool is active when the plus sign is blue and slices can be placed or moved by left clicking on the model.

Units

The units available:

  • Percent (%) - Adjusting the ML Width by relative percent,
  • Millimeters (mm) - Adjusting ML Width by mm,
  • Setting millimeters width (mm (set)). - Specify the measurement in mm for the ML Width.

Reset

Click Reset to remove all work done within the tool. Click Reset to Design History to revert to what was saved in the design history before entering the workflow.

Tool Body

Slice Position in Relation to

Change the location of a slice. Each slice can be in relation to the Distal Tibia Landmark (DT), Mid-Patellar Tendon Landmark (MPT), Top of the model, or Bottom of the model. The distance can be calculated in mm or inches.

Slice (1, 2, 3, etc.)

Type in the box to customize the slice name. Type a number to adjust the distance from the related position. The slices can also be moved by activating them, click on the tool and the slice will be bold on the model, and left clicking on another location on the limb.

Use the slider bar to adjust the ML Width at the slice by the chosen units.

How to Use

Notion image

To adjust the ML width of the socket above a set position:

  1. Let the more distal slice, Slice 1, be a boundary.
  1. Adjust the ML Width of the more proximal slice, Slice 2, to compress the socket above the boundary.

To adjust the ML width in a set location:

  1. Create a boundary by adding Slice 3 below the distal Slice 1 and Slice 4 above the proximal Slice 2.
  1. Adjust the ML distances of Slices 1 and 2 to compress boundary slices.
