Scan Scaling
Overview
This tool is optional, but it can be helpful when the measurements of an uploaded scan file are smaller or larger than the actual limb measurements.
Please remember that the Scan Scaling tool is not meant for applying clinical modifications to the scan. The purpose of Scan Scaling is simply to account for any sizing anomalies introduced by the scanning process so that we can begin the modification process with a scan that is comparable to the limb.

How to Use

- Use the Measurements Utility Tool on the right side of your screen to check the scan measurements and determine if scaling is needed.
- If the measurements of the scans are consistently larger or smaller than the measurements taken of our patient’s limb, use the Overall Scale (%) to globally adjust the size of this scan using the slider bar or the text field.
- If the difference in measurements occurs at specific circumferences rather than across the entire scan, use the Circumference button.
- Click the Distributed Slices icon, set the distance between each slice, then click Create Slices button.
- For each slice, make a percentage volume adjustment, or specify the measured circumference in millimeters.
