Tool Body

Required Landmarks

A landmark is set active when its drop-down is open. Left-clicking on the limb while a landmark is active will set/relocate it. A landmark becomes inactive when its drop-down is closed.

The user may delete a landmark by opening its drop-down and selecting ‘delete landmark’. Deleting a required landmark will remove it from the limb, but will still be required to complete this stage.

Optional Landmarks

Optional landmarks can be selected from the Add Optional Landmarks drop-down and added by clicking the plus button.

Optional landmarks have the same functionality as required landmarks, except they are deleted from the stage when the landmark is deleted.

Adding Optional Landmarks increases the accuracy of generated suggestions.

Deleting an Optional Landmark will remove the landmark from the limb and its drop-down from the stage.

Custom Landmarks

Custom Landmarks can be added by typing and clicking the plus button. Adding custom landmarks will not influence the suggestions generated.

Deleting a Custom Landmark will remove the landmark from the limb. The drop-down stage will stay available under the Custom Landmark heading.

How to Use

  1. Open the drop-down for Mid Patella Tendon
  1. Identify the location of the Mid Patella Tendon on the limb and left-click on said location to set a landmark on the limb. Left-clicking on a different location on the limb will move the marker to the new location.
  1. If the scan has a physical marker, use the slide bar to increase the red selection area and click “Smooth Marker”. This will replace the physical marker with a digital one (optional)
  1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for Distal Tibia
  1. Add additional landmarks by choosing an optional landmark from the Optional Landmarks drop-down and clicking the plus button. This will add a corresponding drop-down for the selected landmark under the Optional Landmark title. To set the new landmark, repeat steps 1 and 2 with the added landmark drop-down open. (optional)
  1. Add a custom landmark by giving it a name and clicking the plus button. This will add a corresponding drop-down for the selected landmark under the Custom Landmark title. To set the new landmark, repeat steps 1 and 2 with the added landmark drop-down open. Landmark can be delated, but the named landmark drop down will stay available. (optional)
