Overview

Trim Guidelines indicates the desired trimline shape on the socket. Use control points to adjust the trimline, mirror changes between the medial and lateral sides when symmetry is needed, and save the trim guideline as a template for reuse.

When applying a Trim Guideline template, riiForm merges the anterior and “ears” from the template with the posterior shelf shape. If the template must be adjusted slightly to fit the current socket shape, riiForm displays a notification.

Trim Guidelines Utility Bar

Add Control Point

Add control points to the trim.

Remove Control Point

Remove control points from the trim.

Mirror Mode

Mirror the adjustments made to the control point to either side of the trim.

Reset

Reset the trim guideline.

How to Use

Select Trim Guidelines to apply an initial trimline with control points.

(Optional) Use Templates to apply a saved Trim Guideline template.

Move control points to the desired location. Add and remove as needed.

(Optional) Enable Mirror Mode for symmetry when modifying

Choose whether to mirror Medial → Lateral or Lateral → Medial.

Adjust the active side; changes will mirror to the opposite side.

Turn off Mirror Mode to make changes that are not symmetrical
